Gets the field value as plain text.

Parameters

  Type: System.Object

  The value to convert.

Return value

Type: System.String
The value as plain text without any formatting.

Remarks

In a custom type-specific class, override this method to convert the value; for example, to convert a DateTime value to a display format based on the locale and calendar of end users in Display mode.
