Running the test
Before you run the test, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Windows Touch Testing Prerequisites.
To provide smooth touch interactions with excellent gesture recognition, Windows 8 provides a precise time stamp that directly contributes to a fast and fluid system.
This test verifies that the device supports the microsecond-level time stamp and does not drift more than the amount that is specified in the Windows 8 Hardware Certification Requirements. During this test, you must hold a contact for the specified time while the tool inspects the HID reports.
