Direction Element (RDL)

Indicates whether the items are sorted in ascending or descending order.

Syntax

<SortBy>
     ...
        <Direction>...</Direction>
    ...
</SortBy>

Element Characteristics

Characteristic	Description
Data type and length	String
Default value	None
Cardinality	0-1: Optional element that occurs once or not at all.

Remarks

The Direction element must contain one of the following values:

• Ascending
• Descending
