DeviceCreateFail rule (kmdf)

The DeviceCreateFail rule specifies that EVT_WDF_DRIVER_DEVICE_ADD returns an error status when the call to WdfDeviceCreate fails.

For the driver to service a device, the device object must be created successfully.

At compile time
Run Static Driver Verifier and specify the DeviceCreateFail rule. Use the following steps to run an analysis of your code: Prepare your code (use role type declarations). Run Static Driver Verifier.
