Open and configure Object Explorer

Applies to: SQL Server Azure SQL Database Azure SQL Managed Instance Azure Synapse Analytics Analytics Platform System (PDW) SQL analytics endpoint in Microsoft Fabric Warehouse in Microsoft Fabric SQL database in Microsoft Fabric

Open Object Explorer by using the View menu in SQL Server Management Studio. Configure Object Explorer options by using Options on the Tools menu.

View Object Explorer

Object Explorer is visible in Management Studio by default. If you can't see Object Explorer, select Object Explorer on the View menu.

Configure Object Explorer options

To configure the Object Explorer settings, on the Tools menu, select Options, and then select SQL Server Object Explorer.
