System Center Virtual Machine Manager Beta

At WinHEC we announced that we were working on System Center Virtual Machine Manager - to provide a centralized management solution for Microsoft server virtualization offerings. We are planning to make a public beta of this available in Q3 of this year - which will be interoperable with Virtual Server 2005 R2.

You can sign up for this beta by:

1. Going to https://connect.microsoft.com,
2. Selecting “Available Connections”
3. Selecting “System Center Virtual Machine Manager Beta 1 Program” from the list
4. Selecting “Apply” and filling out the public nomination survey

You will then be notified of acceptance into the beta - and provided more information - as it becomes available. (Note - connect.microsoft.com does require that you have a passport account).

  When do you think they will be getting back to people on this as I signed up for that on 5/31 and haven't heard anything. (just wondering)

  Thanks for the info, I never check there to see what is new... there is not enough time in the day to play with everything.  But something like this to compete with virtuozo may be nice...

  Patience on word on the beta.  Nothing has happened yet....
