Databricks ODBC Driver
Azure Databricks provides an ODBC driver that enables you to connect participating apps, tools, clients, SDKs, and APIs to Azure Databricks through Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), an industry-standard specification for accessing database management systems.

The process for using the ODBC driver is as follows:
Download and install the ODBC driver, depending on your target operating system. See Download and install the Databricks ODBC Driver.
Gather configuration settings to connect to your target Azure Databricks compute resource (an Azure Databricks cluster or a Databricks SQL warehouse), using your target Azure Databricks authentication type and any special or advanced driver capabilities. See:
Store your gathered configuration settings as an ODBC Data Source Name (DSN) or as a DSN-less connection string, as follows:
- To create a DSN, see Create an ODBC DSN for the Databricks ODBC Driver.
- To create a DSN-less connection string, see Create an ODBC DSN-less connection string for the Databricks ODBC Driver.
Whether you use a DSN or DSN-less connection string will depend on the requirements for your target app, tool, client, SDK, or API.
