DynamicPropertyInstance (property instance) methods and messages
Applies To: Dynamics 365 (online), Dynamics 365 (on-premises), Dynamics CRM 2016, Dynamics CRM Online
A property instance stores the instance of a product property along with its values. The schema name for this entity is DynamicPropertyInstance. To view the entity metadata for your organization, install the Metadata Browser solution described in Browse the metadata for your organization. You can also view the metadata for an uncustomized organization in the Excel file called EntityMetadata.xlsx included in the top-level folder of the SDK download.
Note
A property instance (dynamic property instance) record gets automatically created for a product or bundle when you add the product or bundle to an opportunity, quote, order, or invoice, and is automatically deleted when the product or bundle is removed from an opportunity, quote, order, or invoice. Therefore, it’s not recommended to manually create or delete property instance (dynamic property instance) records for a product or bundle.
