Audit entity messages and methods

The audit entity is used to store the history of data changes to a record or attribute. You should never directly create, update, or delete an instance of this entity. The schema name for this entity is Audit. To view the entity metadata for your organization, install the Metadata Browser solution described in Browse the metadata for your organization. You can also view the metadata for an uncustomized organization in the Excel file called EntityMetadata.xlsx included in the top-level folder of the SDK download.

The following table describes the messages for this entity, which you use with the IOrganizationService.Execute method.

DeleteAuditDataRequest

Deletes all partitions containing audit data created before a given end date.

RetrieveAttributeChangeHistoryRequest

Retrieves all changes to a specific attribute.

RetrieveAuditDetailsRequest

Retrieves the full audit details of a particular audit record. The record to retrieve is specified in the AuditId property.

RetrieveRequest

Retrieves an audit record. You can also call the IOrganizationService.Retrieve method.

RetrieveMultipleRequest

Retrieves a collection of audit records. You can also call the IOrganizationService.RetrieveMultiple method.

RetrieveRecordChangeHistoryRequest

Retrieves all changes to a specific entity.
