Troubleshooting SQL Mail: SQL Mail Reports MAPI Logon Failure or General MAPI Failure

A "MAPI logon failure" message generally indicates that SQL Mail is incorrectly configured. SQL Mail may not be able to locate the profile to use, or the profile may not contain the correct information.
