Use staff teams for various educational needs

Completed

School leaders and faculty members need a centralized hub for distribution of information and collaboration. A staff team creates a safe and secure space for school leaders to share and collaborate on curriculum and data. It also creates a private notebook to share evaluations and feedback. A staff team allows for multiple owners and members. 1

In a staff team, an administrator or educator-leader owns the team. The owner can then add faculty as members of the team. If the administrator or educator-leader has co-leaders for their administrative work, they can add other owners to the team. Once the team owner creates the team, they can set up different channels for various administrative projects that occur throughout the school term.

When the team owner creates the built-in OneNote Staff Notebook, the notebook automatically generates sections based on the permission settings of each member. The Staff Notebook has an individual section for each educator who is a team member. The individual section permits the administrator or educator-leader to add private educator evaluations, feedback, and personalized professional development plans.

Staff teams can be used for whole school initiatives or smaller departmental projects. The uses are only limited by the vision of the administrator. Potential uses for staff teams include:

  • School improvement plans
  • Incident response plans
  • Disciplinary reports
  • Social and emotional learning (SEL) programs
  • Educator evaluations
  • Technology support and instruction
  • Bus incident reports
  • Curriculum planning

In short, create staff teams for different projects, activities, committees, and processes. Any administrative tasks for faculty and administrators can be completed within Teams.
