Hier volgt een voorbeeld van een DCR-aanvraag voor maken. Voor elke gegevensbronstroom( u kunt er meerdere in één DCR hebben), voegt u een nieuwe subsectie toe in "syslog" de "dataSources" sectie en stelt u de waarde van het "streams" veld in op basis van de bron van de berichten die u wilt opnemen:
