Convert leads into co-sell opportunities

Partners can use Partner Center features to identify leads, either sourced from the marketplace or already qualified, and help turn them into co-sell prospects. These features pave the way for partnerships with Microsoft and other associates. They're tailored to transform leads into co-sell opportunities. They enrich the partner journey, and catalyze the growth of sales and revenues through the marketplace and through synergies with partners or sellers. Partners are positioned to showcase their referral competencies as compelling enough to warrant engagement and backing from Microsoft's sales force. As leads move through the sales funnel, partners gain a holistic perspective of their marketing efforts' pipeline, assessing and discerning the most successful marketing strategies.

Convert a lead to a cosell opportunity

  1. Sign in to Partner Center and select Referrals.

  2. In the Leads section, select the lead that you wish to convert to a co-sell opportunity.

    The initial status here for a lead is Received. Mark progress by accepting the lead and marking the deal as won.

    Note

    Only a "Won" lead can only be converted to an Opportunity.

  3. Select Convert to opportunity. This opens the Co-sell creation experience screen.

    All appropriate and applicable data from the leads will be populated in the corresponding opportunity. These fields can be further edited by the partner as needed.

  4. Complete the co-sell opportunity creation by following the prompts.
