Azure AI Foundry Workflow Runtime Cannot Interpret ActionExecutorResult in "Ask a Question" Node

We are experiencing a runtime issue in Azure AI Foundry Workflows Preview.

A minimal workflow containing only:

• Start
• Ask a Question

fails during execution.

Error returned:

"server_error Unhandled workflow failure - #node-1779737371727 (Question)"
"invalid_operation_error Cannot interpret incoming message of type 'Microsoft.Agents.AI.Workflows.Declarative.Kit.ActionExecutorResult, Microsoft.Agents.AI.Workflows.Declarative, Version=1.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f300afd708cefcd3' as type 'Microsoft.Agents.AI.Workflows.Declarative.Kit.ActionExecutorResult'."

The workflow previously worked and now fails consistently, even in newly created workflows.

Additional details:

• Azure AI Foundry Workflows Preview
• Minimal reproducible workflow
• Failure occurs directly on "Ask a Question" node
• Error appears to originate from workflow runtime/deserialization layer
• Published and preview executions both affected

Has anyone experienced this issue recently? Is this a known regression in the preview runtime?

Additional issue observed:

The Ask a Question node is also behaving inconsistently in larger workflows.

Expected behavior:

• Workflow execution should pause and wait for user input when reaching Ask a Question.

Actual behavior:

• The workflow continues execution instead of stopping for user interaction.
• No explicit error is thrown.
• Subsequent nodes execute automatically as if the question node had already completed.

This behavior previously worked correctly and started occurring recently.

Observed scenario:

• Conditional branches containing Ask a Question
• Workflow continues through downstream nodes immediately
• Appears intermittent and inconsistent depending on workflow complexity

The simplified workflow issue eventually resolved itself without changes, suggesting a possible runtime/platform instability rather than deterministic workflow misconfiguration.

• Validar se o problema persiste em outro ambiente/projeto
• Republicar o Workflow após limpeza de versões antigas
• testar versão em página privada do navegador após exclusão do cache do portal.
• Monitorar o Azure Health e atualizações de serviço

Caso o problema persista, abra um ticket de suporte para mais informações e tratativas pois o problema pode ser na camada de serviço Preview.
