Este exemplo do SQL Server demonstra o processamento de cadeia de caracteres com reconhecimento de caractere suplementar. Este exemplo mostra a implementação de cinco funções de cadeia de caracteres Transact-SQL que fornecem as mesmas funções de manipulação de cadeia de caracteres que as funções internas, mas com capacidade adicional de reconhecimento de caractere suplementar para lidar com cadeias de caracteres Unicode e suplementares.
