Introduction
Webhooks and connectors are a simple way to connect your web services to channels and teams inside Microsoft Teams. This extensibility option enables you to either respond to channel messages sent to your web service from Microsoft Teams, or send a proactive message to a channel.
Important
The existing Microsoft 365 (previously called Office 365) connectors across all cloud platforms are nearing deprecation, and the creation of new Microsoft 365 connectors will soon be blocked. For more information on the schedule and how the Workflows app provides a more flexible and secure experience, see retirement of Microsoft 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams.
This module explains how to connect external services with Microsoft Teams using incoming and outgoing webhooks. By the end of this module, you'll be able to register an incoming webhook in a Teams channel, send messages to it, and configure outgoing webhooks that allow users to send messages to a web service.
