Although it is probably a mistake, I've put my Xbox Live Gamertag on my blog page. Despite my potentially obvious bias, I'm quite pleased with the new console. For all of you still waiting to get theirs, if it makes you feel any better, I just got mine yesterday, and I've been trying hard since launch. So don't just assume that all of us here have them, because we have to wait in line just like everyone else.
Geometry wars is entirely too addicting. I haven't even gotten a chance to try out the other arcade titles, nor many of the other games I have because of it. Although I did pick up DOA4 today, and will try to get some more time in with PGR3 and Tiger Woods later tonight. That doesn't even consider I still need to try the rest of the arcade games, and NFS:MW and Ridge Racer and Tony Hawk and Call of Duty and Kameo and ... oh man.. too many games...

I've been having a good time playing Call of Duty 2 Capture the Flag games on Live... it gets really choppy and unplayable sometimes, but most of the time it's ok.
I can't say I like the Live Lobby interface that CoD2 uses (and I hear other games aren't much better). The lobby system is too simple, and doesn't put games together fast enough. There doesn't seem to be any way to ensure that a friend and I both end up in the same game. If one person leaves a game, it becomes lopsided and a severe uphill battle for the under-manned team. There's no built-in team balancing system, so you often see 6 people on American, 2 on German. Despite the problems, the game is simply fun.
Geometry Wars trial is definitely worth the price (free). I simply can't justify the cost of buying ANY of the full versions of these games though. I know 3 people with the 360 right now, all 3 of us have a year of Gold membership and none of us is willing to pay the current prices for Live full versions of the arcade games. Zuma is worth buying, in my opinion, but not at the effective $10 its listed at. I can't imagine there's a ton of people paying the prices for these games right now.
Being a heavy online PC gamer, playing MMORPG's like DAoC and WoW, Live doesn't satisfy my online craving. It could be so much more than it is right now. I hadn't played my 360 in a couple of days, I logged in last night and there wasn't anything new, that I noticed. Live can't stagnate and keep my attention.
I played around with some of the other features... I installed Windows Media Connection on a PC and streamed some MP3's to my 360.. the visualizer is pretty slick. The MP3's didn't seem to sound as good as they should have. I don't know if they were streamed at a lesser bitrate or what, but it just wasn't what I expected to hear. I tried a slideshow of pictures, and set a new (naughty!) background image for the Live interface, a nice feature.
You can play MP3's while playing games, and if you have the Media Remote, you can control the MP3 playback while playing a game without having to go into the player interface, which is nice.
Wireless controllers... what can I say, it's just a good thing. I have to wonder how much of juice the Headphone/Mic system is draining when plugged in though. - Anonymous
