iRider
Many years ago I vowed never to purchase an Internet browser. It's just one of those things that I couldn't justify spending money on--similar to how I would never buy a pdf viewer, flash player, or music player. However, Scoble has been discussing Internet Explorer and someone in the comments mentioned an application called iRider (an app that takes tabbed browsing and punches it in the face). I checked it out, found it interesting enough to download and install, and I have to say this thing floored me. I mean, in the short couple of hours since installing it, it has made me view regular IE as plain, like comparing Wordpad to Word 2K3. Check it out. It'll shift the way you browse the Internet and make you feel good while doing it--it's just a sweet little app. After the 21 day trial, I'll be purchasing it...

Does its bell and whistles outweigh its inability to integrate the Google toolbar (or other 3rd party toolbars)? That's what always prevents me from using other browsers. - Anonymous

Like Tristan Cartony I never thought I would consider buying a web browser given that I have been happy with IE for a long time. However, having pointed out iRider in his recent post I too am definately intrigued by... - Anonymous

Kevin, good question. I live by the google toolbar, but iRider's search page allows you to search multiple search engines at once. And while this is not a new idea, the way iRider loads pages in the side area it's actually very functional. But still, no google toolbar is it's biggest downside. I suppose you can just install the google desktop thingie... - Anonymous

You don't need it! Just type your search query into the address bar and it goes straight to into Google for you (if you configure it that way). Or you can use the excellent search tool to search multiple engines at once. - Anonymous
