The copilot template for factory operations on Azure AI helps accelerate factory issue resolution and improve productivity by democratizing data driven decision making with natural language querying of unified IT-OT data estate.

The copilot template provides an industry augmentation loop, plug-ins, and skills to understand complex systems like MES (Manufacturing execution systems), QMS (Quality management systems), and supply chain sources. It also checks the results against the manufacturing data solutions via post processing. This feature helps avoid incorrect information and provides Responsible AI (RAI) guardrails to ensure only relevant, safe, responsible responses are given within the manufacturing setting.

In preview, the copilot template provides a plug-in for Global System Integration partners and ISVs to extend into either custom experiences for Cloud for Manufacturing customers or into existing ISV application for enhanced GenAI capabilities.
