Появление элемента управления BindingNavigator в Windows Forms позволяет разработчикам предоставлять конечным пользователям пользовательский интерфейс для перехода и управления данными в формах, которые они создают.
Элемент управления BindingNavigator является элементом управления ToolStrip с кнопками, предварительно настроенными для перехода к первой, последней, следующей и предыдущей записям набора данных, а также для добавления и удаления записей. Каждой кнопке элемента управления BindingNavigator соответствует член компонента BindingSource, обеспечивающий ту же функциональность программным путем. Например, кнопка MoveFirstItem соответствует методу MoveFirst компонента BindingSource, кнопка DeleteItem соответствует методу RemoveCurrent и т.д. Таким образом, обеспечение перехода по данным с помощью элемента управления BindingNavigator — простая процедура, требующая задания в качестве значения свойства BindingSource соответствующего компонента BindingSource в форме.
