Commerce Server Staging System

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

Commerce Server 2007 introduces the Commerce Server Staging (CSS) System. This system lets you deploy or "stage" your business data and Web site content from your development environment to your production environment. CSS offers the following benefits:

  • One tool for all staging in Commerce Server.

  • Support for full or incremental data deployment.

  • Better error reporting and logging.

You can access CSS functions through a scripting language, the command line, and the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Commerce Server Staging application.

Note

Commerce Server 2007 removes the dependency on Microsoft Application Center for staging that was introduced with Commerce Server 2002 Feature Pack 1.

Commerce Server Staging Content and Data

Commerce Server Staging can stage the following:

  • Web site content and ASP.NET code.
