Managing SQL Server Services
Team Foundation Server is built on three components of Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Team Foundation Server uses:
SQL Server databases to store operational information about individual components and the data warehouse.
SQL Server Analysis Services to aggregate and summarize the data in the warehouse.
SQL Server Reporting Services to generate and store reports about team projects.
As a Team Foundation administrator, there are no special duties or instructions you must follow to manage SQL Server services for Team Foundation Server. Make sure that the SQL Server services are available and operating correctly according to the online documentation for each component.
