Disable System Center Operations Manager or Third Party Monitoring

Topic Last Modified: 2012-10-18

Note

This topic discusses Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 (formerly Microsoft Operations Manager). If your company uses a different monitoring solution, refer to the documentation for your monitoring system to understand how to stop the monitoring of servers running Microsoft Lync Server 2010 or Microsoft Lync Server 2010 components.

There is a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Operations Manager management pack available for System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2. For servers running Lync Server 2010 or Lync Server 2010 components that you monitor with System Center Operations Manager, you should put the pool or server into maintenance mode when you move, remove, or decommission them to prevent a large number of alerts from appearing in System Center Operations Manager.

For details about the System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 management pack for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and to download the management pack, see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=214711.

Specific details about using System Center Operations Manager, including managing the console or management pack, are outside the scope of this document. For details about using System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2, see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=214710.
