Migrate Using Lync Server Management Shell (optional) (Office Communications Server 2007 Migration)

The following topics outline the steps needed to merge your Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 pools to Microsoft Lync Server 2010 pools by using the Lync Server Management Shell, and the associated migration cmdlets. The topic Create a Custom Edge Server Input File (Office Communications Server 2007 Migration) defines an example Edge Server input file, and then describes in detail the various parameters of that file and the necessary cmdlets that you must run to complete the migration. This section is optional and replaces running the Topology Builder Merge wizard procedure, described in Phase 4: Merge Topologies (Office Communications Server 2007 Migration).

If your Office Communications Server 2007 Edge Server deployment configuration is an expanded Edge Server, you must first change the configuration to a consolidated Edge Server deployment configuration, prior to running the procedures in this section.
