You must take extra programmatic steps when using the DistributionSubscription2 object in an application that also runs with Microsoft SQL Server version 7.0.

The DistributionSubscription2 object extends the functionality of the DistributionSubscription object for use with features that were introduced in SQL Server 2000. It also inherits the properties and methods of the DistributionSubscription object.
The DistributionJobID method of the DistributionSubscription2 object may not be compatible with instances of SQL Server 7.0 or earlier. For more information about using the DistributionSubscription2 object in an application that also runs with an instance of SQL Server 7.0, refer to the Remarks section of the DistributionJobID Property.
