FileGroupName Element (ICF)

Contains the name of a filegroup for the instance database.

Characteristic	Description
Data type	string, between 1 and 128 characters in length.
Default value	None.
Occurrence	Required once per NamedFileGroup element.
Updates	Cannot be added, deleted, or modified when updating the instance.

Parent element	NamedFileGroup Element (ICF)
Child elements	None.

When Notification Services creates the instance database, it creates the filegroups specified in the instance configuration file (ICF).

At least one filegroup must use the name Primary.

If you need to alter the database after creating the instance, use the SQL Server tools, such as SQL Server Management Studio.

This example shows how to specify that the filegroup is the Primary filegroup.
