ISmsClient2::SetDnsSuffix Method

The ISmsClient2::SetDnsSuffix method, in Configuration Manager, sets the Domain Name System (DNS) suffix for clients that locate their management points by using DNS publishing.

Parameters
sDnsSuffix
Data type: BSTRQualifiers: [in]
The DNS suffix for the domain.
Return Value
An HRESULT code. Possible values include, but are not limited to, the following:
- S_OK
The method succeeded.
Remarks
This method sets the registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CCM\LocationServices\DnsSuffix. This registry key is used to locate the default management point for a given site code through DNS.
