IVsLibrary2.UpdateCounter Method
Returns the current change counter for the library and is used to indicate that the library contents have changed.

[out] Returns the current update counter.
Return Value
Type: System.Int32
If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an error code.

The update counter is incremented any time an update is made to a library. The environment calls this method to get the current update counter to determine if it is necessary to again query a library object.
