Microsoft.Office.Tools.Word.Extensions Namespace

The Microsoft.Office.Tools.Word.Extensions namespace provides extension methods that you can access on Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Document objects to extend Microsoft Office Word documents.

The extension methods in this namespace are provided for backward compatibility with Office projects that you retarget from the .NET Framework 3.5 to the .NET Framework 4. In new projects that target the .NET Framework 4, you should access these methods by using the Globals.Factory object in your project.
