ModelCollationComparer.Compare Method (IList<String>, IList<String>)

Compares two specified lists of String objects and returns an integer that indicates their relationship to each other in the sort order.

  Type: System.Collections.Generic.IList<String>
  An IList<T> of type string that represents the source object.

  Type: System.Collections.Generic.IList<String>
  An IList<T> of type string that represents the target object.

Return Value

Type: System.Int32
A 32-bit signed integer that indicates the lexical relationship between the two comparands.

Value	Condition
Less than zero	x is less than y.
Zero	x equals y.
Greater than zero	x is greater than y.
