Purpose

The Windows Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) Scripting API can be used to create scripts to administer an AD RMS installation.

Developer audience

The AD RMS Scripting API is designed for use by administrators who have a good working knowledge of AD RMS management and of the Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) programming language.

Run-time requirements

The AD RMS Scripting API is available starting with Windows Server 2008. For information about run-time requirements for a particular programming element, see the Requirements section of the reference page for that element.
