Here are some steps you can try and see if the game opens. Feel free to skip any steps you've already attempted:
1. Run SFC and DISM Scans
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
- Press
Win + Xand select Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows Terminal (Admin).
- Press
- Run SFC Scan:
sfc /scannow
- Wait for the scan to complete.
- Run DISM Scan:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- This scan may take some time. Once completed, restart your computer and try launching the game again.
2. Disable Third-Party Antivirus Software
- Disable Antivirus:
- Right-click the antivirus icon in the system tray and select the option to disable it temporarily.
- Try launching the game again.
- Add an Exclusion:
- If disabling the antivirus works, add the game to the antivirus exclusion list to prevent future issues.
3. Run the Application in Compatibility Mode
- Right-click the Game Executable:
- Select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Enable Compatibility Mode:
- Check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select an earlier version of Windows (e.g., Windows 10).
- Also, check Run this program as an administrator.
- Click Apply and OK.
- Launch the Game:
- Try running the game again.
4. Reinstall the Game
- Uninstall the Game:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Find the game, select it, and click Uninstall.
- Reinstall the Game:
- Download the game installer from a reliable source and install it again.
