First Steps to Learning WPF

A basic question I'm often asked is "where can I go to learn about WPF?" I like to answer this question here on the blog every now and again, both for new readers and to take account of new or changed materials.

Here are a few useful resources that I tend to point people to:

Hope this is useful to some of you.

Brian, it's not our plan to publish the source for this one at this stage - frankly, we'd want to make some changes to it before publishing it to be more compliant with architectural best practices. We are currently discussing the production of a more fully-fledged real world application that demonstrates good practices; nothing to report now but I'll be sure to let folks know when we're getting closer.

We have built a community WinFX focused site, http://www.roadtowinfx.com/, which has lots of links to help people get started with WPF.

Including resources, events, lists of the main bloggers by technology and even some developer challenges.
