How to backup up everything in Outlook

As anyone who's ever lost a file knows, it's a good idea to back up your stuff every so often. And while I don't have the answer to the world's most common backup problems ("I never seem to get round to it" and "I just don't have time to back up my files" respectively) I do have a handy link that explains everything you need to do to protect your important Outlook stuff:

https://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;287070

Read this page carefully. It's easy to forget to save things like your signature files and folder design properties.

My tip for backing up your Outlook stuff: create a recurring Outlook task (at least once a month) that reminds you to back up your stuff. Then reward yourself with a chocolate bar while your data is backing up to a secondary storage location. With practice backing up your files becomes a simple job and you'll sleep better at night knowing that a hard disk failure isn't likely to completely ruin your life. And the chocolate reward's not bad either!
