Consider, for example, a scenario where a user has two devices with the same phone number. When a user places a call on one devices, the telephony stack can represent that call on the other device by adding is to the ConnectionService with the PROPERTY_IS_EXTERNAL_CALL capability set. An ConnectionService should not assume that all InCallServices will handle external connections. Only those InCallServices which have the TelecomManager.METADATA_INCLUDE_EXTERNAL_CALLS metadata set to true in its manifest will see external connections. | IsTetheredCall | 16384 | Set by a ConnectionService to indicate that this Connection represents a tethered call synchronized from a primary device. Consider, for example, a scenario where a user has a watch paired with a phone. When a user places a call on the phone, the telephony stack on the watch can represent that call by adding it to the ConnectionService with this property set. When this property is set, the Telecom framework manages local audio focus to pause local media streams during an active call, as if that call was local. If the call does not possess this property but does have PROPERTY_IS_EXTERNAL_CALL, local voice audio modes (e.g., AudioManager.MODE_IN_CALL) and speaker routing adjustments are bypassed. This property cannot be set for calls with PROPERTY_SELF_MANAGED also set.
