Microsoft Silverlight will reach end of support after October 2021. Learn more.
Writes the text representation of an object to the text stream by calling ToString on that object.
Namespace: System.IO
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Overridable Sub Write ( _
value As Object _
)
public virtual void Write(
Object value
)
Parameters
- value
Type: System.Object
The object to write.
Exceptions
Exception | Condition |

Remarks
This version of Write is equivalent to Write .
If the specified object is nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), no action is taken and no exception is thrown. Otherwise, the object's ToString method is called to produce the string representation, and the resulting string is then written to the output stream.
