Exercise - Set up a calculated measure

Completed

For this exercise, you're a consultant working on the implementation of Inventory Visibility for a client. The client uses Supply Chain Management. As such, the data source for Supply Chain Management is mostly set up. However, your client wants to use some calculated measures to improve their ability to query inventory. Your task is to set up this calculated measure for them.

  1. Sign in to your Power Apps environment and open Inventory Visibility.

  2. Open the Configuration page.

  3. On the navigation pane, select Get Started.

  4. Select Manage on the Feature Management tile.

  5. Select Manage on the Inventory Allocation tile.

  6. Select the Calculated Measure tab.

  7. In the upper right of the tab page, select New Calculated Measure.

  8. A form should open, where you can begin setting up your calculated measure. This calculated measure is for all ordered or on order inventory in fno. Therefore, you name this calculated measure Ordered of FNO. For the data source, select fno because the client uses Supply Chain Management.

  9. Because you're getting totals, the Modifier is always Addition. Also, because you're aggregating across the fno data source, the Data Source is always fno (though, you can make calculated measures across multiple data sources). Your Measure starts with onorder, but you include more measures.

  10. Select Save Measure to add the first measure.

  11. In the lower left of your measure, select Add to add another measure.

  12. Repeat step 6 for the availordered, ordered, and reserveordered measures. When you're finished, your calculated measure should resemble the following image.
