Business value
To increase choice and control, we're launching a release channel that will deliver updates for model-driven apps on a monthly basis, similar to other Microsoft products, such as Microsoft 365 Apps. Updates made through the monthly channel will provide clear communication for any end user features and provide four weeks of validation.
Feature details
Admins and makers can turn on a monthly channel for all or some of their users through the Power Platform admin center or app settings. The initial version release allows admins to enable the monthly channel for an entire org and allow switching the channel for a single browser session.
Future updates may include:
- Ability for admins to override the channel per user.
- Default, new model-driven apps to the monthly channel with the ability for makers and admins to opt out.
- Ability for admins and makers to defer specific changes, as needed.
Features released into the monthly channel will be released into one of the upcoming semi-annual releases, as well.
