v1 Feedback & Requests for v2 of Excel Services!

We are currently working on planning for the next version of Excel Services and I would greatly appreciate any v1 feedback as well as requests you would like to see implemented in v2. I want to focus on existing Excel functionality that you would like to see on the server, integration with other MS technologies, or very generic ideas/scenarios you would like to enable.

    Thanks for the feedback Alan! I'm curious as to what your scenario is, and whether you could use Named Ranges to accomplish the same. Are you using XmlMaps to automatically gather data from an XML source, calc it based on Excel Formulas, and grabbing the results from XmlMaps as well? Interestingly enough I have been playing around with XML files and Excel client recently for some personal projects, I ended up just writing some VB code to parse the XML file since XmlMaps didn't help me too much.  Might be interesting if I ported the code to a server UDF though, I'll put it on my To-Do list :o)

Expose the excel spreadsheet programming model Rework the CAL to be less restrictive Improve server performance Expose interactivity to the client web access part Extend the model to include chart and pivot table Provide more hooks into the EWA Provide a better way to customize tool parts and custom panes Rework the object model so it can be developed on XP Add VB to the VS 2005 extensions Fully integrate the BDC Improve the UI of the EWA to include ribbons Expose ribbon hooks in excel services I'm not done yet, just being polite.

    Ability to consume Excel Services data on mobile browsers, at a minimum Pocket IE.

    Support for visualize data from sharePoint lists directly
