PowerPivot 服务应用程序向 PowerPivot 系统服务提供端点。它在部署了 PowerPivot for SharePoint 的应用程序服务器上运行。在场中具有多个 PowerPivot 服务器的扩展部署中，单个服务应用程序将可用于所有物理服务器。

PowerPivot 应用程序数据库
每个 PowerPivot 服务应用程序都将应用程序数据和计划存储在一个 SQL Server 关系数据库中。应用程序数据包括数据刷新计划、使用情况数据以及在系统中加载或缓存的 PowerPivot 数据。应用程序数据由 PowerPivot 服务应用程序在内部使用。服务应用程序数据库不存储内容文件。PowerPivot 数据存储在内容数据库存储区的 Excel 工作簿中。
