Navigation for Type 2 Online Stores
[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Player SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer. MediaPlayer has been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer instead of Windows Media Player SDK, when possible. Web pages hosted by Windows Media Player 10 or later, such as those in online store service task panes, can use the External.NavigateTaskPaneURL method to control navigation within Windows Media Player. Navigation can occur in the following ways:

- From features like Info Center View, HTMLView webpages, and the album information page to service task panes. See Navigating from Windows Media Player Features.
