OnNavigate method

Note  The Microsoft ActiveX Hyperlink API is deprecated in Windows Internet Explorer 8 and later, and ActiveX technology as a whole is unsupported in the Microsoft Edge browser in favor of standards-based web APIs. Notifies the hyperlink frame about a hyperlink navigation.

Syntax

HRESULT retVal = object.OnNavigate(grfHLNF, pimkTarget, pwzLocation, pwzFriendlyName, dwreserved);

Parameters

  • grfHLNF [in]
    Type: DWORD

    An unsigned long integer value that specifies a flag that describes how the navigation is to proceed. The value of the flag can be any valid HLNF enumeration value.

  • pimkTarget [in]
    Type: IMoniker

    The address of an IMoniker interface on the hyperlink target.

  • pwzLocation [in]
    Type: LPCWSTR

    The address of a string that specifies the navigation location. This cannot be NULL.

  • pwzFriendlyName [in]
    Type: LPCWSTR

    The address of a string that specifies the display name of the location navigated to within the hyperlink target. This cannot be NULL.

  • dwreserved [in]
    Type: DWORD

    Currently unused. Should be set to zero.
