Microsoft Viva Insights includes Personal insights, Manager and team insights, Leader insights, and Advanced insights. Each set of insights has their own most frequently asked questions:

  • Personal insights - Depending on what you're using for your personal insights, see the applicable FAQ:

    • Personal insights in Teams FAQ - Shows your personal insights within your Microsoft Teams flow of work, including how to stay connected, protect time, use Headspace for guided meditation, and start a virtual commute.

    • Briefing email FAQ - Briefing emails show you relevant items that can help you stay in control of your calendar and be intentional about your day, including outstanding commitments or requests, preparing for upcoming meetings, and suggested times to schedule for focusing or catching up on messages.

      Important

      We've paused sending Briefing emails to make some improvements. Users can still access the Viva Insights Outlook add-in or Viva Insights app in Teams for key functionality until this service resumes. For more information about this change, refer to Briefing pause.

    • Dashboard, Viva Insights Outlook add-in, Digests in Outlook, or Inline suggestions FAQ - Viva Insights provides different ways for you to use personal insights to do your best within the flow of work in Microsoft Outlook or through the unified dashboard.

  • Organization insights FAQ - Viva Insights helps business leaders see data-driven, privacy-protected insights, and recommendations about the overall organization that they can use to improve company-wide business outcomes.

  • Advanced insights FAQ - Viva Insights has advanced insights and analysis tools for deep diving into data that's shown both within Microsoft Teams and in the advanced insights app. The app includes advanced analysis tools, such as different ways of analyzing and reporting custom analysis to your company’s business leaders.
