TNWiki Article Spotlight - BI Step-by-step: Excel 2013, Azure SQL and O365

Hello and welcome everybody to our TNWiki Article Spotlight on Tuesday.

Two weeks ago I was at the Office 365 Summit in Amsterdam and was really impressed what you can do with it not only from a developer perspective. A scenario where Office 365, Azure and Excel plays well together is Business Intelligence. Especially Excel with its Power View and Pivot capabilities is one of the tools an analyst should know very well. In this category falls an article Dan Christian created at the beginning of the year. BI Step-by-step: Excel 2013, Azure SQL and O365 describes what tools you need and goes, with a lot of pictures, through every step to create a complete Excel report. Starting with setting the scene for the scenario this article shows you how you have to set up the data connection, build the Pivot Chart, Power View and Power Map and how to share the report from Excel and to SharePoint Online.

If you are curious about Business Intelligence this is a must-read!

    Very interesting.
For some users it's just not proper data until it's in excel.
