How to automatically protect new Virtual Machines in DPM 2010

Over the last month, quite a few customers in the DPM 2010 TAP program & Newsgroups asked us "You have auto-addition of SQL databases in a protected instance, auto-addition of SharePoint Databases, why doesn't DPM have a auto-addition story for Hyper-V?"

Angad, who closely follows the DPM community immediately got going and came up with scripts to support the requested functionality. These scripts have been validated in our in-house Hyper-V protection scale runs.
