So while I was playing with System Center Virtual Machine Manager Beta 1 I hit an annoying little bug. Basically if you try and connect to a virtual machine, via VMRC, and the virtual machine has a space in its name - instead of connecting you will see the VMRC error dialog that tells you how to use the command line parameters.
This was particularly odd for me as it turned out that all of my virtual machines have spaces in their names - and I thought this feature was completely broken until I created a new temporary virtual machine, called 'foo', and found that I could connect to it.
So if you are seeing this issue - the quick fix is to remove any spaces in your virtual machine name.
Cheers,
Ben

Not having SCVMM I don't know if this is the issue, but if you use %20 rather than a space in your VM name, can you connect? - Anonymous

You cannot put quotes in a VM name.
