Hyper-V Survey: Why do you turn VMs off?

We have a survey up asking for information about why and when you need to turn virtual machines off with Hyper-V.

You can go and fill it out here: https://www.instant.ly/s/9qQwF/?s=ba

Please note, we will be taking feedback for a week (this will be shutting it down on end of day Tuesday next week).

Cheers,
Ben

I have several VM's that are connected to terminal server gear.  I always shut these down whenever I install Windows Updates on the VM host to avoid hanging the terminal servers.

Oh, no, I forgot something very important! It is not directly related to shut down a virtual machine – but is just as important. simple fact: 2 VMs - 1 x primary - the second is replica from the first (e.g. a second hyper-v Server) Expanding (or changing) size of a HDD on the first site - replica is break down, while the HDD size was changed. Our only way is, delete the replica and restart new. (maybe a better way is possible?) This fact is disturbing. Expanding of capacity of hard drives is common. Please find a way, to hold the replica and the replica settings! Cheers, Oliver
