備註
RIPEMD-160 是 160 位的密碼編譯哈希函式。 其用途是作為 128 位哈希函式 MD4、MD5 和 RIPEMD 的安全取代。 RIPEMD 是在 EU 專案 RIPE (RACE Integrity Primitives Evaluation 的架構中開發,1988-1992) 。
注意
RIPEMD160Managed 已由安全哈希演算法 SHA-256 和 SHA-512 及其衍生類別取代。 SHA256Managed 和 SHA512Managed 提供比 RIPEMD160Managed更好的安全性和效能。 僅用於 RIPEMD160Managed 與舊版應用程式和數據的相容性。
