How to Create a Program

To be functional, each Configuration Manager 2007 package must contain at least one program, although many contain more than one. These programs are used to define how the application from the package will be used on that client. As a result, the program must include all appropriate references to script files or command switches.

To create a program within a package, you must have Modify permission for the Package Security object type or for the specific package instance. For more information about security permissions, see Classes and Instances for Object Security in Configuration Manager.

注意

The use of software deployed by Configuration Manager may be subject to license terms. All applicable license terms should be reviewed prior to deploying software.

To create a program

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Distribution / Package / <package name>.

  2. Right-click Programs, point to New, and then click Program.

  3. Use the New Program Wizard to create a program for a software distribution package, specifying general information, program requirements, runtime environment, and other information for the new package.

For additional information about this wizard, see New Program Wizard.
