Simple Setup Overview
The simple setup installation option installs a Configuration Manager 2007 primary site in mixed mode and configures a single computer to host all the necessary site server roles. In most cases, simple setup should be used for evaluation purposes only. By default, the simple setup option does the following:
Installs a primary site.
Installs the Configuration Manager 2007 site database on a local SQL Server default instance.
Boundaries are not created.
Installs and enables the management point and distribution point site server roles on the site server.
Enables the Client Push installation method.
Common Configuration Manager 2007 client agents are enabled. By default, the following client agents are enabled:
Software inventory
Hardware inventory
Advertised Programs
Software update
Software metering
Desired configuration management
Remote tools
Enables all discovery methods, except Network Discovery.
